Officer Duties

Regional Vice-President

  1. Serve as ESP Vice President for a two-year term.
  2. Serve as a liaison between President and regional membership.
  3. Recruit new, returning and retired members.
  4. Collect annual dues from regional members and submit them to ESP Secretary/Treasurer.
  5. Actively communicate with and involve Regional retired Extension agents in meetings and correspondence.
  6. Conduct balloting for annual awards program.
  7. Present regional ESP awards at Extension Conference or Mini-Conference.
  8. Solicit auction items for annual fundraiser.
  9. Serve on Omega Chapter ESP Board with other Regional Vice Presidents, President, Secretary/Treasurer, President-Elect and Past-President.

Secretary

  1. Serve as ESP Secretary for a two-year term, eligible for re-election to numerous terms.
  2. Maintain database of members and awards.
  3. Serve on Omega Chapter Executive Committee with President, President-Elect and Past-President.
  4. Serve on Omega Chapter Board, made up of Executive Committee and Regional Vice-Presidents.

Treasurer

  1. Serve as ESP Treasurer for a two-year term, eligible for re-election to numerous terms.
  2. Process on-going receipts and disbursements of the chapter.
  3. Keep an accurate record of chapter receipts and disbursements.
  4. Provide budgetary information to President and President-Elect as needed.
  5. Serve on Omega Chapter Executive Committee with President, President-Elect and Past-President.
  6. Serve on Omega Chapter Board, made up of Executive Committee and Regional Vice-Presidents.

President-Elect

  1. Serve as ESP President-Elect for a two-year term.
  2. Following service as President-Elect, serve a two year term as President.
  3. Preside over meetings in absence of President.
  4. Attend Southern Region JCEP Meeting and National ESP Meeting as voting delegate.
  5. Recruit two ESP members to attend PILD Conference in Washington, DC.
  6. Assist President with annual Chapter Budget development.
  7. Assist Regional Vice Presidents with member recruitment and retention.
  8. Serve on Omega Chapter Executive Committee with President, Secretary/Treasurer and Past-President.
  9. Serve on Omega Chapter Board, made up of Executive Committee and Regional Vice-Presidents.

President

  1. Serve as ESP President for a two-year term.
  2. Following service as President, serve a two year term as Past-President.
  3. Oversee and lead total Omega Chapter programs and activities as facilitator and assistant to all other officers.
  4. Give leadership to recruiting officer nominees as needed for offices of Vice-Presidents, Secretary/Treasurer and President-Elect.
  5. Serve as Chapter Liaison to the Extension Dean and Extension Administrative staff and other Associations.
  6. Serve as Liaison between National ESP and Omega Chapter Board.
  7. Attend Joint Association Board Meetings and recruit two others from officer group to attend, preferably President-Elect and Past-President.
  8. Give leadership to annual fund raising activities.
  9. Attend Southern Region JCEP Meeting and National ESP Meeting as voting delegate.
  10. Develop and monitor annual budget with the assistance of President-Elect and Secretary/Treasurer.
  11. Serve on Omega Chapter Executive Committee with President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer and Past-President.
  12. Serve on Omega Chapter Board, made up of Executive Committee and Regional Vice-Presidents.

Past-President

  1. Serve as ESP Past-President for a two-year term.
  2. Assist President with annual fund raising activities.
  3. Give leadership to planning Annual Meeting and Awards program(s) at Extension Conference or Mini-Conferences.
  4. Recruit members to assist with Annual Legislative Ham breakfast in Nashville.
  5. Serve on Omega Chapter Executive Committee with President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer and Past-President.
  6. Serve on Omega Chapter Board, made up of Executive Committee and Regional Vice-Presidents.
